Course Transfer

Well it's been awhile since I've been updating on here. Maybe it's because my life is very dull and boring haha! So anyway, as you should know, I have started University about 6 weeks ago and doing a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) course. Though Psychology was my first preference, I'm actually not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I mean I absolutely loved it in high school, but it's not living up to my expectations in Uni. And it got me thinking about whether or not Psychology really is what I want to do or suitable for me. Even though I did enjoy it during high school, it wasn't particularly my best subject and because it's such an English-based topic, I was really struggling in that area as English is not my best subject. I also quite dislike the uni that I'm going to simply because it's so far away from where I live and...well I'm just not enjoying the vibe there.

So, I've decided to make a transition from doing Psychology to Commerce, and hoping to move to a different uni that has a much better atmosphere. I'm deciding to do Commerce because I am rather interested in getting into Foreign Affairs, so I'm thinking that this course will help me achieve this. Plus, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I kinda miss maths...hopefully everything works well and I won't have any regrets on this decision!

Taiwan

After waiting for so long, I have finally arrived in Taiwan! Frankly, this was probably the only part of the trip that I was looking forward to. I absolutely love this place and cannot wait to start exploring all the food and culture here again. I'm also hoping to be b able to speak more Mandarin whilst here as it's been a year since I've stopped learning Chinese (tbh, I find it quite sad how I don't get to speak it as often now).

I don't know what it is that I'm so captivated about this place. It's a lot cleaner here than Vietnam, I can tell you that! I guess it's because the place is a lot more modern and the stuff here are my 'trustworthy', if you know what I mean...

It's been less than 24 hours since I've been here and I can already tell you one thing, it is a place that's definitely worth going to.

Uni Frustrations

Uni hasn't even started yet and the stress has already kicked in!
I'm currently trying to enrol in my classes, which I only have 6 more days to, but I'm so frustrated because I'm overseas at the moment and don't have all my documents!!
My parents really did pick the best timing to go overseas didn't they?

Arrival in Vietnam

After flying for 9 hours, I have finally arrived in Vietnam! The last time I came to Vietnam was back in 2004 and although I did enjoy my time there, it wasn't a place that I ever wanted to go to again. But ironically enough, here I am again today!

It's been awhile since I've come back here, so there's certainly many changes that have occurred during that time period. For example, I do find the place to be a lot cleaner. When I first arrived, there were all sorts of rubbish on the side of the roads, it was repulsive! I also feel as if there's a lot less homeless people, which I guess is a good thing. However, one thing that has not changed is the very, very, VERY busy traffic. Literally, all you ever hear is the honking sound of scooters and cars.

Great Escape

So right now I'm in the midst of packing for my trip overseas for 3 weeks! It's been awhile since I've gone overseas. The last time I left the country was approximately 3 years ago when I left for 2 months to America, Taiwan and Hong Kong. It was quite an exhausting trip but nevertheless, it was absolutely amazing!
